As the event staff supervisor, Mark Barbuto is responsible for supervising the ushers, ticket-takers, civilian security and medical staff for all Carrier Dome events. He also assists in maintaining the Dome’s scheduling system and is responsible for maintaining the Dome’s staff policy manuals and staff training.
A native of Upstate New York, Barbuto worked in event management with SMG prior to joining the Carrier Dome staff in 2006. Barbuto also had previous stints working at the Mullins Center at the University of Massachusetts, First Arena in Elmira, N.Y., the Rhode Island Convention Center and the New Haven Coliseum. A 1993 graduate of Ilion High School, Barbuto attended Plattsburgh State University and later graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in political science. He and his wife, Jessica reside in Jamesville with their son, Kyan, and daughter, Mia.
