Mark Brode

Mark Brode, one of the leaders of the Orange the last four years, will serve as an undergraduate assistant coach for Ian McIntyre's club in 2013.
Brode played in 56 games in SU his career, with 45 starts. He registered 15 points on six goals and three assists in his four seasons and served as co-captain of the 2012 squad that advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament. Last season, Brode also earned the Dean Foti Award for having the most positive impact on the team's attitude.Â
In 2009, Brode led all Syracuse rookies in scoring with six points on two goals and two assists. He made his first collegiate start and recorded the first point of his career with an assist in the season opener at Binghamton.Â
The following year, Brode was second on the team in points (6) and goals (3). In addition, he was named to the Mayor's Cup XXXV All-Tournament Team.
Brode is pursuing a degree in child and family studies.Â
