Dan Summers, one of SU’s top offensive players as a senior in 2011, will serve as an undergraduate assistant coach for the Orange in 2012. Summers saw action in every match last year, with 12 starts, and totaled one goal and two assists.
Prior to coming to Syracuse, Summers played three years at Hartwick College where he was named to the All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) Second Team and the NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region Third Team. Summers led the squad in points (15) and goals (six) during his sophomore season.
The Banstead, England native played soccer and cricket at the Sutton Grammar School prior to arriving in the United States.
Summers is currently pursuing a degree in psychology.
