OFFENSIVE NOTES:
• With 105 yards, Sean Tucker became Syracuse’s single-season rushing leader. He now has 1,467 yards this season, surpassing the previous record of 1,372 set by Joe Morris in 1979.
• Tucker recorded 100+yards for the 12th time in his career. That total gives him sole possession of sixth place on Syracuse’s all-time leader list.
• Tucker scored his 14th touchdown of the season in the second quarter. He is now tied for ninth on Syracuse’s single-season touchdowns scored list. It was also his 12th rushing touchdown, which tie him for ninth on the single-season record list.
• Tucker is the 24th player in program history to record 2,000 career rushing yards. He now has 2,093 yards in 20 games. That total ranks 20th on Syracuse’s career leader list.
• Garrett Shrader scored his 14th rushing touchdown. He is now tied for fourth on Syracuse’s single-season rushing touchdowns list.
DEFENSIVE NOTES:
• With two sacks against NC State, Syracuse has 36 team sacks this year. That total ranks as the fifth-highest single season total in program history and most since 2018.
• Mikel Jones recorded 12 tackles. It marks the fifth time this season and seventh in his career that he has reached double figures in tackles
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES:
• Cooper Lutz’s 32-yard kickoff return in the second quarter is a career long. His returned four kicks for a total of 102 yards. Both are career highs.
