- Twenty-one seniors were honored prior to the game for their commitment to the Orange program.
- SU has held six of its 2010 opponents to 10 points or less in the first half.
- The Orange defense had three players record 10-plus tackles (Derrell Smith, Phillip Thomas and Shamarko Thomas).
Individual Notes
- Junior wide receiver Marcus Sales' 26-yard reception on Syracuse’s game-opening drive was a career long. The Syracuse native finished with five catches for 73 yards.
- Senior linebacker Derrell Smith recorded four tackles for loss. Smith’s 24.0 career tackles for loss rank tied for 10th on SU’s career list. He finished the day with 12 total tackles.
- Sophomore strong safety Shamarko Thomas tallied a career-best 12 tackles, matching a career-high with seven solo stops.
- Senior cornerback Kevyn Scott registered his first career interception, halting a BC drive deep in Syracuse territory.
- Senior running back Delone Carter has 1,035 yards this season, which ranks 10th on SU’s single-season list. His 1,048 yards gained in 2009 ranks ninth. Carter’s 204 carriers this season also ranks 10th on SU’s single-season chart.
- Junior quarterback Ryan Nassib’s 189 completions this season rank second on SU’s single-season chart. Nassib is also eighth on the Syracuse season list for passing yards with 2,095.
