Johnnie Morant's first reception on SU's second drive extended his streak to 19 consecutive games with at least one reception.
Morant's 42-yard reception in the third quarter gave him more than 100-yards receiving for the game. It is the first time in his career he has posted consecutive 100-yard receiving games (160 vs. North Carolina). He finished with 141 yards through the air.
For the second consecutive week, Morant posted a career high in receptions. He had seven versus North Carolina and eight versus the Cardinals.
Morant finished with 235 all-purpose yards (141 rec., 94 kick return), his second straight game with at least 200 all-purpose yards (291 vs. North Carolina).
R.J. Anderson completed 19 passes to run his career total to 211, moving him into seventh place on the SU all-time list. Anderson passed Bernie Custis and Dave Warner. He is just the eighth quarterback in SU history to record 200 career completions.
Walter Reyes' 35-yard touchdown run in the third quarter marked the seventh consecutive game he has run for a score. The last time he was kept out of the endzone was versus West Virginia last season.
Brendan Carney assumed the Syracuse kickoff duties for the first time in his career. Carney also hit a career-long 51-yard punt. Carney averaged 44.2 yards per kick, bettering his average of 36.8 versus UNC. He put two punts inside the 20.
Marcus Clayton's third quarter punt return of 18 yards was his career long.
Jared Jones' third-quarter reception of 14 yards not only converted a third down, but also gave him 45 yards receiving, a new career high (37 vs. Pittsburgh, 2001). Jones finished with a career-high five catches and 47 yards. His 12-yard rush in the fourth quarter was the first of his career.
