The Syracuse University women's basketball team will travel to Puerto Rico this fall to compete in the Discover Puerto Rico Shootout, a multi-team tournament set for November 25-27, 2026, at the Guillermo Angulo Coliseum.
The Orange will face three opponents over three days of competition, opening tournament play against Southern before matchups with Wisconsin and Auburn round out the slate. Syracuse will tip off against Southern on Wednesday, November 25 at 11:00 a.m. The following day, Thursday, November 26, the Orange will take on Wisconsin at 1:30 p.m. Syracuse will close out tournament play on Friday, November 27 against Auburn at 11:00 a.m. All three games will be played at the Guillermo Angulo Coliseum in San Juan, which is set up as a round-robin tournament between the four squads.
It marks the first time Syracuse will face Southern in program history and just the second time SU and Wisconsin will face off. The two played to a 77-74 result in favor of the Orange on Nov. 23, 2017 in Washington, D.C., at the Paradise Jam. Last season, Syracuse earned an overtime win over Auburn, 66-60, in the ACC/SEC Challenge at the JMA Wireless Dome on Dec. 3, 2025. It was the first win in program history over the Tigers, who hold a 5-1 advantage.Â
The tournament marks another step in Syracuse's non-conference schedule as the Orange prepare for Atlantic Coast Conference play.
