
Men’s Lacrosse Inside Top 10 for Postseason

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Heading into the postseason, Syracuse University men's lacrosse will remain inside the top 10 of both the USILA Division I Coaches Poll and the Inside Lacrosse Division I Media Poll.
Syracuse (11-5) earned the six seed for the upcoming NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Tournament and will host Yale for the First Round.
The Orange slipped one to seventh in the USILA Division I Coaches Poll, picking up 346 points. Syracuse takes on No. 12 Yale on Sunday with a 5 p.m. showdown at the JMA Wireless Dome.
Princeton moved up to number one this week with 520 points and all 26 first-place votes. Notre Dame was second with 481 points with Richmond in third with 455 points. ACC runner-up North Carolina was fourth with 419 points with ACC champion Virginia in fifth at 408 points.
Likewise, Syracuse dropped in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll, moving to eighth with 286 points. Princeton was first with 420 points and all 21 top selections. Richmond was second with 384 points with Notre Dame in third with 374 points and Virginia in fourth with 352 points. Cornell was fifth with 320 points.
With Yale up next, 13 Syracuse opponents this season are mentioned in the USILA Coaches Poll: No. 1 Princeton, No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 4 North Carolina, No. 5 Virginia, No. 9 Johns Hopkins, No. 10 Georgetown, No. 12 Yale, No. 13 Duke, No. 14 Maryland, No. 15 Harvard, with Penn, Saint Joseph's, and Boston University receiving votes.
Similarly, 13 opponents were named in this week's Inside Lacrosse Media Poll: No. 1 Princeton, No. 3 Notre Dame, No. 4 Virginia, No. 6 North Carolina, No. 9 Johns Hopkins, No. 10 Georgetown, No. 11 Yale, No. 13 Duke, No. 14 Maryland, No. 15 Harvard, as Penn, Saint Joseph's, and Boston University received votes.
