Six Orange Locked in For Pan-Am Sixes

OSHAWA, Ontario — Six former Syracuse University men's lacrosse players will represent four national teams at the 2026 Pan-American Sixes Lacrosse Championship, which runs Sept. 29 through Oct. 4 at Oshawa Civic Fields in Oshawa, Ontario.
The eight-team men's tournament is the first official step on lacrosse's road to the LA28 Olympics. The top five finishers qualify for the 2027 World Lacrosse Sixes Championships in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the primary qualifier for the Olympic Games, where Sixes will make its Olympic debut.
Canada and Puerto Rico each have two former Orange on their rosters, and the Haudenosaunee Nationals and the United States each have one.
Competition is split into two pools. Pool A features Chile, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and the United States, while Pool B includes Brazil, Canada, the Haudenosaunee Nationals and Mexico.
Two former Orange will represent Team Canada:
Spallina, who closed his Syracuse career as the program's all-time leader in points and assists, returns to the U.S. National Team program after earning a silver medal at the 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championship.
Aviles and Mark are both veterans of Puerto Rico's national team. Aviles captained Puerto Rico's U21 team at the 2022 World Lacrosse Men's U21 Championship, where he totaled 19 points in eight games, and he played for the senior team at the 2023 World Lacrosse Men's Championship in San Diego. Mark, a two-time All-American at Syracuse, was Puerto Rico's primary goalie at the 2023 world championship.
Hill, a goalie for the NLL's Halifax Thunderbirds, suits up for a Haudenosaunee team ranked No. 5 in the world in sixes. The Nationals open play Sept. 30 against Mexico.
