
Phelia Selected for 2026 Lilly Women's College All-Star Game

Syracuse women's basketball senior Laila Phelia has been selected to participate in the 2026 Lilly Women's College All-Star Game, it was announced Wednesday. Phelia will be among 20 senior standouts taking the floor Saturday at Global Credit Union Arena at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix.
The All-Star Game will tip off at 11 a.m. MST (2 p.m. EST). All participants will also take part in the Lilly Women's College All-Star Combine on Friday morning. Tickets remain on sale at www.womenscollegeallstar.com. Fans can tune in and watch live on ESPN2.Â
Phelia will compete for Team Miller, coached by Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Cheryl Miller. The 20-player field includes 11 All-Conference honorees and five Wade Trophy finalists, with 18-of-20 participants having competed in this year's NCAA Tournament.
A senior who spent her first three collegiate seasons at Michigan before a brief stint at Texas, Phelia capped her collegiate career with an All-ACC Second Team season at Syracuse in 2025-26. She started all 32 games she appeared in, averaging 13.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game while shooting 85.4 percent from the free-throw line. Her standout individual performance came on Jan. 11 at Virginia, where she erupted for a career-high 38 points on 13-of-19 shooting — the high-water mark of her collegiate career. She also recorded a season-high seven steals against Georgia Tech on Jan. 29 and made a career-best 12 of 14 free throw attempts at Miami on Feb. 1.Â
Over her college career, Phelia appeared in 128 games and accumulated 1,730 career points — averaging 13.5 per game — to go along with 412 rebounds, 179 assists and 174 steals. She shot 82.1 percent from the free-throw line for her career.
