
Three Women's Lacrosse Alumnae Win WLL Championship Series Title

Three former Syracuse University women's lacrosse standouts — Emily Hawryschuk, Meg Carney and Katie Goodale — won the WLL Championship Series title after the New York Charging defeated the California Palms, 18-11, in Springfield, Virginia on Sunday afternoon.
Hawryschuk was one of the driving forces in the championship game, finishing with five goals and one assist. Hawryschuk finished the series tied for second in total scoring points with 19 across five games.
Carney had a strong showing in the finale as well, tallying three goals and two assists. Over five games in the Championship Series, she finished with 12 goals and six assists.
Goodale helped anchor the defense, posting a caused turnover and three ground balls in the victory. She caused six turnovers and grabbed 10 ground balls over the stretch of five games.
Also representing Syracuse, Sam Swart competed for the Maryland Charm, finishing with one goal across two games.
