Syracuse And Stonehill Set For Dec. 22 Matchup

Syracuse and Stonehill are scheduled to meet for the first time since the 1975-76 season when they play on Monday, December 22, at the JMA Wireless Dome.

The Syracuse-Stonehill Series:

Syracuse won the only previous encounter with Stonehill.
The Orange defeated Stonehill, 101-55, on Feb. 16, 1976.

Syracuse
The Orange return their top two scorers, senior guard J.J. Starling (17.8 ppg.) and sophomore forward Donnie Freeman (13.4 ppg., 7.9 rpg.), from the 2024-25 squad that was 14-19. Third-year coach Adrian Autry has added six transfers and five freshmen to the Syracuse roster.

Key transfers include junior guard Naithan George (12.3 ppg., 4.2 rpg.), an honorable mention All-ACC selection at Georgia Tech last season, and redshirt senior guard Nate Kingz (11.8 ppg., 2.5 rpg.) from Oregon State. Heading up the freshmen newcomers are top-40 prospects Kiyan Anthony and Sadiq White.

Stonehill
Stonehill was 15-17 overall and 7-9 in the Northeast Conference a season ago. Chris Kraus, the 2022-23 Northeast Conference Coach of the Year, enters his 13th year (includes the 2020-21 season that was canceled due to COVID-19) as head coach at Stonehill. Sophomore guard Herman Koffi (9.5 ppg., 2.5 rpg.) is a top returning performer for the Skyhawks.
