The unofficial start of the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference football season will commence with ACC Kickoff next week in Charlotte, N.C.
Head Coach Fran Brown, quarterback Rickie Collins, defensive back Berry Buxton III, tight end Dan Villari and punter Jack Stonehouse will represent the Orange on Wednesday, July 23. This year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with ACC Network broadcasting live each day starting at 9 a.m. ET, delivering the most comprehensive coverage in the history of the event.
Following the announcement of the 2025 ACC Kickoff student-athlete attendees of all 17 schools last week, Syracuse's selections are a change to its previously announced student-athlete lineup.
Collins, an LSU transfer, joined Syracuse in December. A redshirt-sophomore, Collins has completed all-seven of his collegiate passes during his tenure in Baton Rouge.
Buxton is entering his third year with the program. He appeared in 10 games last season, starting five at defensive back. He made 22 tackles on the season.
Villari, a redshirt-senior in his fourth year with Syracuse, heads into his third season at tight end after switching from quarterback early in his career. He has played in 32 games with nine starts for the Orange, including playing in every regular season contest with a pair of starts last season.
Record-setting punter Jack Stonehouse rounds out the group. An All-ACC selection in each of the past-two seasons, Stonehouse set Syracuse's single-season net punting record (45.7) last season, and owns two of the top-three net punting seasons in program history.
