Orange To Host Tennessee In 2025 ACC/SEC Challenge

Syracuse and Tennessee are paired up for the second straight season in the annual ACC/SEC Challenge. The Orange and the Volunteers will meet on Dec. 2, 2025, in the JMA Wireless Dome.

The Syracuse-Tennessee Series:

The Volunteers have a 5-3 advantage in the all-time series with Syracuse.
Tennessee won the first pairing, an 87-83 triumph on Dec. 15, 1972, and the four most recent encounters.
Syracuse captured its three victories in consecutive fashion between 1992 and 2000.
The Volunteers were winners a season ago, 96-70, on Dec. 3, 2024.

Syracuse
The Orange return their top two scorers, senior guard J.J. Starling (17.8 ppg.) and sophomore forward Donnie Freeman (13.4 ppg., 7.9 rpg.), from the 2024-25 squad that was 14-19. Third-year coach Adrian Autry has added six transfers and five freshmen to the Syracuse roster.

Tennessee
Tennessee posted a 30-8 overall record and reached the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight a season ago. Eventual national runnerup Houston ended the Volunteers' campaign in the quarterfinals. Veteran coach Rick Barnes heads into his 11^th season at the Tennessee helm and his 39^th as a head coach. Senior forward Felix Okpara (7.1 ppg., 6.4 rpg.) is a returning starter for the Vols.
