
Autry Announces Six Incoming Transfers

The Syracuse men's basketball program has acquired six players through the transfer portal, according to head coach Adrian Autry.
The new Orange student-athletes include:
Betsey, a 6-8, 225 forward, saw action in 34 games as a freshman at Cincinnati. He averaged 3.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 11.2 minutes per contest. An outside shooting threat, Betsey finished tied for fourth on the Bearcats in 3-pointers (26).
A highly-touted recruit in the Class of '24 from St. Thomas More (Conn.), Betsey was a two-time Connecticut Gatorade Player of the Year (2022-23, 2023-24). He averaged 23.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists in his senior year. Betsy was ranked 37th nationally in the 2024 ratings by 247Sports.
NAITHAN GEORGE
A 6-3, 185 guard, George led the ACC and ranked 11th among Division I performers in assist average (6.5 apg.) in 2024-25. He started all 34 contests last season and averaged 12.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 35.6 minutes per game. George was named honorable mention All-ACC.
George was also a member of Georgia Tech's starting lineup as a freshman and averaged 9.8 points and 4.8 assists per outing. He prepped for three seasons at Canyon International Academy (Ariz.) and played on state championship teams in 2022 and 2023.
NATE KINGZ
Kingz, a 6-5 guard, averaged 11.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game at Oregon State in 2024-25. He converted .504 of his shots, which included a .446 mark on 3-point attempts. He led the Beavers in 3-pointers (58).
He began his career as standout at NAIA Westmont. He followed that with a successful season at Southern Idaho, before transferring to Oregon State prior to the 2023-24 campaign. He missed his junior year with an injury. Kingz attended McNary High School (Oregon).
WILLIAM KYLE
A 6-9, 230 center, Kyle was a key contributor at South Dakota State and UCLA before transferring to Syracuse. He played on an NCAA Tournament team at UCLA last winter. Kyle averaged 2.9 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.6 blocks for the Bruins.
He spent his first two collegiate seasons at South Dakota State. In 2023-24 he was selected the Summit League Defensive Player of the Year, first team All-Summit League and to the Summit League All-Defensive Team. Kyle also earned Summit League Tournament Most Valuable Player after helping the Coyotes to the conference postseason title. He was named to the Summit League Men's Basketball Academic All-League team. Kyle played at Bellevue West High School (Neb.).
IBRAHIM SOUARE
Souare, a 6-9, 225 center, enrolled at Georgia Tech for the 2023-24 season. After redshirting his first year, he played in all 30 contests of Tech's 2024-25 campaign and averaged 2.8 points, and 3.6 rebounds per game. Souare started the last 14 contests for the Yellow Jackets.
Souare was selected to play for Guinea in the 2022 FIBA U18 African Championship in Madagascar. He attended Dream City Christian School in Glendale, Ariz., where he was recognized as an All-Region First Team player and earned team most valuable player honors.
BRYCE ZEPHIR
A 6-4, 200 guard, Zephir joins the Syracuse roster after a season at Montana State. He played in 29 contests, started the last 15 contests, and averaged 5.3 points, and 2.0 rebounds per game.
Zephir spent his freshman year at Chipola Junior College before transferring to North Texas. He redshirted one of his two seasons with the Mean Green and then transferred to Salt Lake Community College where he enjoyed a breakout season (10.4 ppg., 4.1 rpg.). He was a high school standout at Santa Monica High School (Calif.).
2025-26 SYRACUSE ROSTER
The six transfers join a Syracuse roster that features the team's top two scorers from 2024-25, ACC Honorable Mention guard J.J. Starling and forward Donnie Freeman. The Orange will also welcome four highly-regarded freshmen – Kiyan Anthony (Long Island Lutheran/Middle Village, N.Y.), Luke Fennell (South East Melbourne/Melbourne, Australia), Aaron Womack (Dominican/Milwaukee, Wisc.) and Sadiq White (IMG Academy/Charlotte, N.C.).
