#10 Syracuse Retains the Conlan Cup, Sweeps BU

morning in Fairlee, Vermont. The 10th-ranked Orange retained the Conlan Cup with a win over #12 Boston U in the Varsity 8 race marking the fourth-straight win in the annual cup race between Syracuse and the Terriers.
The Varsity 8 finished the 2,000-meter course on Lake Morey in 5:44.4, 2.9 seconds ahead of Boston U, while the 2nd Varsity 8 turned in a time of 5:47.1 over BU's 5:52.6.
In the 3V8 race, Syracuse went 5:48.7 beating Boston U by 3.7 seconds and the 4th Varsity 8 finished in 5:52.9 against the Terriers (6:02.6) to complete the sweep. Dartmouth's 4V8 also joined in the race finishing 1.4 seconds ahead of Syracuse.
Syracuse returns home for three weeks of training before the Eastern Sprints Regatta, in Worcester, Massachusetts, at Lake Quinsigamond on May 18.
