Orange Earn Pair of ACC Weekly Honors

Syracuse University women's tennis senior Miyuka Kimoto was named ACC Player of the Week and earned Doubles Team of the Week with sophomore Nelly Knezkova as the conference announced its weekly awards on Tuesday.
Knezkova and Kimoto won at No.1 doubles against No.10 Duke on Sunday, upsetting the ITA's No.11 ranked duo Irna Balus and Ellie Coleman, 6-3. This marked their first time playing together this season.
Following the doubles win Sunday, Kimoto played at the No.1 position in singles, defeating Balus, ITA's No.8 ranked singles player, with a 7-5, 6-3 result. With the win, she improved to 5-1 in singles play this season with four of those victories coming from the top position.
Syracuse is back Friday in a match against Miami at Drumlins Country Club at 3:30. The match will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.Â
