
Syracuse Set for Matchup at Boston College

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University volleyball team travels to Boston for a mid-week matchup against conference rival Boston College. The Orange will face the Eagles on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. Fans can follow along with the match through live stats and can stream it live on ACC Network Extra.

'Cuse has a long-standing rivalry with Boston College, dating back to 1982 where the Orange won with a sweep. Syracuse leads the series, 39-11. The two programs met twice in the 2022 season, each team winning one matchup. Boston College has lost its past five matches this season, most recently to Clemson in three sets. The Eagles have a 14-12 record in the 2023 season with a 3-9 record in ACC play.

Last time out, the Orange lost at home against Clemson and #11 Georgia Tech. Freshman Veronica Sierzant had her first career double-double against Clemson, scoring 10.5 points with a career-high 10 kills and contributing 16 assists. Junior Laila Smith had a productive weekend, collecting six kills against Clemson and seven kills against #11 Georgia Tech.

After this weekend, the Orange will head south to face NC State in Raleigh, N.C. on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. The match will have live stats available and can be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
