
Orangewomen Close Out WNY Tourney With 3-0 Win At Canisius

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Junior Morgan Jones had 10 kills on 18 attempts and a .444 hitting percentage to help the Orangewomen volleyball team to a 3-0 win against Canisius on Sunday, the last day of the Western New York Tournament. SU, now 4-1 on the season, won the games, 30-16, 30-27 and 30-13.
Sophomore Kristen Conway notched 14 kills on 28 attempts and completed a double-double with 12 digs. Senior Michaela Skelly had 11 digs, and sophomore Aila Dommestrup recorded a match-high 30 assists.
Canisius' Christina Wildes had 10 kills and 12 assists for a double-double. Jackie Reed had 28 assists and six digs.
The Orangewomen return to Syracuse to host the Big Orange Tournament, Friday, Sept. 5 and Saturday, Sept. 6. The tournament features teams from Binghamton, Colgate and Siena. All games will be played at the Women's Building.
