
Robert Morris Defeats Orange Volleyball, 3-1

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Senior Christen Casey recorded a career-high 27 digs, but it was not enough as Robert Morris defeated Syracuse volleyball, 30-25, 30-24, 25-30, 32-30, in the Orangewomen's final non-conference match of the season. SU is now 16-15 overall.
Junior Morgan Jones had a match-high 21 kills. Sophomore Kelly Duan posted a double-double with 10 kills and 14 digs, as well as two solo blocks. Sophomore Kristen Conway also finished with a double-double on 20 kills and 10 digs, as well as 55 attacks. Freshman Erin McQuillin had 11 kills and eight assists, while senior Michaela Skelly dug 13 balls. Sophomores Aila Dommestrup and Kathryn Dercher split time at the setter position, with Dommestrup finishing with 28 assists, and Dercher posting 26 helpers and six digs.
The Colonials out-blocked the Orange, 14-4. Rachel Leitch led the defensive effort at the net with seven solo blocks and 10 total stops, along with 16 kills to finish the double-double. Megan Bell and Kallie Wasserman also finished with double-doubles. Wasserman had 11 kills and 15 digs, while Bell recorded 13 kills and 18 digs. Darcey Miller had a double-double wiht 58 assists and 17 digs, and Darcy Thompson recorded 22 digs for Robert Morris.
Syracuse takes on BIG EAST foe Pittsburgh on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 1:00 p.m.
