
Conway Leads SU Past Boston College, 3-0

SYRACUSE, NY - Freshman Kristen Conway (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) recorded 20 kills to lead the Syracuse women’s volleyball team past Boston College, 3-0, on Friday night in the Women’s Building.
Conway posted 20 kills on 39 attempts with three errors for a .436 hitting percentage. As a team, SU (18-9, 4-5 BIG EAST) combined for a .348 attack percentage, compared to the Eagles’ .236.
Syracuse served up 15 aces in the victory, including five by freshman Aila Dommestrup (Ottawa, Ontario/Sir Robert Borden). Dommestrup also dished out 44 assists.
Senior Abby Van Mater (West Chester, PA/Unionville) was perfect with seven kills on 12 attempts with no errors for a .583 hitting percentage. Junior Christen Casey (Long Beach, IN/Marquette) led the defense with 12 digs.
Rachel Bach led Boston College (12-14, 2-6 BIG EAST) with 12 kills and eight digs. Lauren Schwer recorded a match-high 13 digs.
Syracuse returns to action on Sunday, November 3 when it faces Providence at 1 p.m. in the Women’s Building.
