
Conway Records Career-High 17 Kills In Win Against Albany

ALBANY, NY - Freshman Kristen Conway (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) recorded a double-double to lead the Syracuse women’s volleyball team to a 3-1 victory aganst Albany on Friday evening in University Gymnasium.
The Orangewomen lost the first game, 30-28, but came back to win the next three games for the victory. Syracuse (11-6) hit .221 as a team, compared to Albany’s .164 attack percentage.
Conway posted a career-high 17 kills and 12 digs in the match. Freshman Jessica Logan (Bloomington, IL/Bloomington) and sophomore Rachel Crooks (Green Springs, OH/Clyde) joined Conway in double figures with 11 and 12 kills, respectively.
Four players led Albany in double figures. Alissa Gibbs posted 14 kills, while Kristin Norton, Eileen Rodriguez and Alexis Bowens all posted 13 putdowns.
Syracuse returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 5 against Seton Hall in South Orange, NJ at 2 p.m.
