
Munger Tallies 18 Kills In 3-1 Loss To Seton Hall

SYRACUSE, NY - Senior Carol Munger (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy) recorded 18 kills, but the Syracuse women’s volleyball team lost to Seton Hall, 3-1. The Orangewomen’s record now stands at 14-12 and 3-8 in BIG EAST play, while the Pirates extended their record to 13-11 and 6-5 in the BIG EAST Conference.
Syracuse won the first game, 30-28, but Seton Hall took the next three, 30-28, 30-21, 30-25. The Pirates hit .296 on the night compared to SU’s .263. Freshman Ashley Kimes (Overland Park, KS/Blue Valley North) tallied 11 kills on 26 attempts with three errors for a .308 attack percentage. Classmate Morgan Jones (Malad, ID/Malad) recorded nine kills and five digs, and sophomore Christen Casey (Long Beach, IN/Marquette) led the defense with 13 digs.
Syracuse returns to action on Sunday, Nov. 11, when it faces St. John’s in its season finale at 2 p.m.
