Syracuse scored three third-quarter touchdowns in a span of 4:53 and went on to defeat Boston College, 21-6.
OFFENSIVE NOTES
- Freshman Sean Tucker (RB) had a 100-yard rushing performance for the seventh consecutive game.
- He finished with 26 carries for a career-high 207 yards and a touchdown.
- Tucker moved into third on the SU single-season rushing ledger. He passed Floyd Little (1,065), Larry Csonka (1,127), Walter Reyes (1,135), Curtis Brinkley (1,164), James Mungro (1,170), Jerome Smith (1,171), Joe Morris (1,194) and Delone Carter (1,233).
- It was the 11th 100-yard rushing game of his career. He is tied with Jim Brown, Delone Carter and Ernie Davis for sixth on the Syracuse list.
- His 51-yard touchdown run was his 13th score of the campaign.
- Tucker posted the 14th 200-yard rushing game in Syracuse history. His 207 yards represented the ninth best total.
- Sophomore Garrett Shrader (QB) had a 48-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. It was his 13th rushing touchdown of the season.
- Shrader ran 16 times for 78 yards and a score.
- The Orange ran 47 times for 293 yards and averaged 6.2 yards per carry on the afternoon.
- The Syracuse defenders accumulated five quarterback sacks.
- The Orange held Boston College to 5-of-18 on third-down conversion attempts.
- Senior Kingsley Jonathan (DE) posted a career-high three quarterback sacks. The plays added up to 25 yards lost by Boston College.
- Freshman Stefon Thompson (LB) had 1.5 quarterback sacks in the game. He now has 7.0 on the season.
- Thompson, redshirt  junior Eric Coley (BS), and redshirt freshman Garrett Williams (CB) tied for team tackle honors with seven each.
- Redshirt freshman Courtney Jackson (PR) had a 64-yard punt return for a touchdown.
- Jackson’s runback was the first Syracuse punt return for a score since Sean Riley ran one back 69 yards versus Connecticut.
- Freshman James Williams (P) punted five times for a 43.0-yard average.
