SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Ryan Moesch, a prep standout at Chittenango High School and Cushing Academy (Mass.), has accepted a written offer of athletic aid at Syracuse, according to Coach Gerry McNamara.
Moesch, a 6-1, 170 guard, played two games with the Chittenango Bears as an eighth grader before joining the varsity full time one season later, in 2021-22. Coach John Clancy guided the Bears to a 23-2 record and the Section III Class B Championship, and Moesch averaged 14.3 points, 2.5 assists and 2.7 steals.
As a sophomore, Moesch averaged 23.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.3 steals for the Bears. Chittenango finished the campaign with a 20-3 mark. In 2023-24, Moesch's junior year, he became the school's all-time leading scorer. He posted averages of 36.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 3.4 steals per contest. He topped 50 points twice – a 55-point outburst in a double overtime loss to Jamesville-DeWitt and a 51-point showing when Chittenango defeated Vernon Verona Sherrill in the first round of the Section III Class B Championship. The Bears ended the year with a 14-7 record.
Moesch reclassified to the Class of 2026 and enrolled at Cushing Academy in 2024-25. In his first season, Moesch helped the Penguins to a 26-6 record and the New England Basketball League (NEBL) Championship. Cushing Academy was 29-6 overall, 17-0 in the NEBL and won the New England Prep School Athletic Conference (NEPSAC) Class AA Championship this past season. Moesch was named All-NEPSAC.
