It's a clean sweep of preseason accolades for Syracuse stars Emma Muchnick and Coco Vandiver. The duo earned Preseason All-ACC honors on Tuesday.
Muchnick and Vandiver were both named Preseason All-Americans by US Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse as well.
Vandiver was selected as a third team All-American by both publications, before earning Preseason All-ACC in a vote from the league's coaches. Last season, Vandiver was a US Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention and All-ACC Third Team selection. She had 40 caused turnovers as a junior, which was second in a single season in Syracuse history.
Muchnick was a second team All-American by IL and US Lacrosse. Also an All-American a year ago, Muchnick was a First-Team All-ACC selection in 2025, recording career highs with 41 points and 34 goals. She led the Orange in goals last season.
Syracuse was picked seventh in the league's preseason poll. The ACC remains the nation's top lacrosse conference, with eight ranked teams – including seven of the top-15 – heading into the season.
The No. 11 Orange will face No. 7 Maryland on Friday at 5 p.m. to open the season in the JMA Wireless Dome. Tickets are available at Cuse.com/Lacrosse-Tickets.
