Both XC Squads Ranked in Preseason Poll
8/28/2025 6:20:00 PM | Cross Country
The Syracuse cross country teams will begin the 2025 season both ranked inside the USTFCCCA Poll, with the Orange men checking in at No. 12 and the women ranked No. 29.
'Cuse is one-of-six ACC squads with both of its programs ranked to start the year. The nation's deepest conference, especially in the women's rankings, sees half the league ranked in the poll and nearly a third of all ranked squads to open the season hail from the ACC. Six men's teams are also ranked.
Both squads are riding multi-year qualification streaks to the NCAA Championship. The men have reached the sport's final meet in 16-straight years, the nation's fourth-longest active streak. The women have made it four years in a row, tying the program record, which was set from 2008-11.
Action opens on Saturday, as Syracuse heads to the Harry Lang Invitational, hosted by Colgate.
