Nine Orange Named to the Women’s Basketball All-ACC Academic Team

Nine Syracuse women's basketball players have been named to the 126 student-athlete Women's Basketball All-ACC Academic Team, announced Monday afternoon. Seniors Kyra Wood and Georgia Woolley are three-time All-ACC Academic Team honorees while Sophie Burrows makes the team for the second-straight year.

Dominique Camp, Shy Hawkins, Madeline Potts, Olivia Schmitt, Journey Thompson and Izabel Varejão were all first-time members on the All-ACC Academic Team.

Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.

Syracuse went 12-18 overall this season and reached the ACC Women's Basketball Tournament. The Orange return seven players from this season and have added three high school signees and three transfers out of the portal for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
