SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse University volleyball sophomore Greta Schlichter was named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for women's volleyball on Tuesday, as the CSC announced its honorees.
The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance in the classroom and on the court. For women's volleyball, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the program's sets played or start in at least 66 percent of the institution's total matches.
Schlichter started at libero in 30 of Syracuse's 32 matches this season, appearing in 108 sets. She was one of three Orange players to surpass 200 digs on the season (234) and tallied 10 or more digs in five of Syracuse's final seven matches. She set a new career high with 17 digs on two occasions this season. The sophomore also tallied 37 assists and 16 aces on the season.
