SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Syracuse lost to Notre Dame in straight sets, 21-25, 23-25, 20-25, on Friday at the Women's Building. Graduate student Polina Shemanova led 'Cuse (8-7, 4-1 ACC) with 15 kills and 11 digs, marking her 13th double-double of the season, and ninth in a row. Shemanova has 1,688 career kills, which is 10 shy of Syracuse's career record (Dana Fiume, 1,698 career kills).

Viktoriia Lokhmanchuk recorded nine kills and Bre Walp followed with just two less. Sophomore Riley Hoffman locked in her sixth double-double of the season by recording 22 assists and 11 digs in tonight's match. Notre Dame (6-9, 1-4 ACC) led the match in points (54-49), kills (46-39), assists (44-38), and digs (48-35).

The Orange will be back in action on Sunday, October 9th, against #2 Louisville at 1 p.m. at the women's building (ACCNX).
