‘Cuse Finishes Undefeated Weekend with Win over Buffalo

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse volleyball team capped off the weekend at home hosting the Syracuse Tournament, defeating Buffalo in three sets Sunday night. The Orange dominated on all fronts in the victory, outscoring the Bulls 25-13, 25-16, 25-10. After the 3-0 weekend, Syracuse improves to 9-2 on the season.

Outside hitters Monika Salkute and Nicolette Serratore garnered honors over the three-match weekend, with Salkute being named to the All-Tournament Team and Serratore being named MVP of the Syracuse Tournament.

"Overall, I think the tournament went well, especially our final game," Serratore said. "It's a great feeling to have everything come together right before heading into tough conference games. I'm so proud of how far our team has come and can't wait to see what we have in store for the ACC."

Syracuse opens ACC play this coming Friday, Sept. 25, taking on Boston College at home. The match is set for 7 p.m.
