Submission of Information Necessary to Determine Academic Initial-Eligibility Status: Bylaw 14.5.7 requires that all high school
transcripts and SAT/ACT test scores be submitted to the NCAA Eligibility Center to determine the academic initial-eligibility status
of a two-year college transfer as well as all incoming freshman prior to the end of the student-athletes fi rst regular academic term of
full-time enrollment at the institution. If a two year college transfer student-athlete is added to an institution's squad list after the end
of their fi rst regular semester of full-time enrollment, the institution shall ensure submission of all necessary information to the NCAA
Eligibility Center to determine their academic initial-eligibility status prior to the end of the academic year in which the student-athlete
is added to the squad list.
Incoming Transfers: Students who transfer to member institutions and do not meet the requirements for an exception or waiver are
required to complete one full academic year of residence (2 semesters) at the certifying institution, as well as be enrolled in a minimum
of 12-credits each semester before being eligible to compete for or to receive travel expenses from the member institution, unless
they meet the applicable transfer requirements. Summer terms may not be used to satisfy a term of residence. However, they may be
used to earn the number of required hours.
Incoming transfers must also meet the new NCAA transfer guidelines. Those who were certifi ed by the Eligibility Center as qualifi ers,
and who are transferring from two-year colleges must have (1) spent on full-time semester or quarter in residence at their original institution;
(2) a minimum 2.5 GPA; (3) completed an average of 12 hours of degree credits for each term of enrollment. Nonqualifiers
must have(1) graduated from a two-year college (and provide proof of degree); (2) completed at least 48-semester/27-quarter hours in
the required fields; (3) attended the two-year college full-time for a minimum of 3 semesters/4 quarters; (4) a minimum 2.5 GPA. To
be eligible for fi nancial aid and practice only, nonqualifiers must meet all the above requirements. However, they must only have a 2.0
GPA.
Awarding Athletics' Aid to a High-School Senior who will Graduate and Enroll Midyear: The academic and membership affairs
staff determined that a prospective student-athlete who intends to graduate from high school midyear and enroll at a member institution
during the same academic year (e.g., spring semester) may sign an institutional fi nancial aid agreement on or after August 1 of
his or her senior year, provided the institution issuing the fi nancial aid agreement establishes, prior to issuing the agreement, that the
prospective student-athlete is enrolled in all coursework necessary to graduate from high school at midyear. Further, a PSA graduating
midyear from a high school may sign an NLI with an athletics aid agreement which includes Spring 2014, as well as the 2014-2015
school year.
Incoming Freshman (December Graduates): Incoming freshman must submit their proof of graduation and high school transcripts
to the NCAA Eligibility Center prior to enrolling in Spring Semester. Test scores are also required; however, the NCAA only accepts
scores from the national testing agency, not the individual.
