SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse volleyball team (10-18, 2-11) will host the their final match of the 2012 season against Seton Hall on senior day at the Carrier Dome on Sunday, Nov. 11th.

SU DEFEATS VILLANOVA IN STRAIGHT SETS:
The Orange swept Villanova (11-18, 5-9) in straight sets (25-19, 25-21, 25-21) on Friday evening in the Women's Building. The win over the Wildcats snaps a two-game losing streak, recording their first sweep since defeating Harftord on Sept. 14 in the Blue and White Classic.

ORANGE HONORS THREE IN SENIOR DAY CEREMONY:
SU will honor middle blocker Samantha Hinz, setter Laura Homann and defensive specialist Zoe Guzman on Sunday, Nov. 11th at 1 p.m. in the Carrier Dome in a Senior Day ceremony. Hinz leads the team in blocking with 95 total blocks, while Guzman has seen action in 20 matches this season, recording two starts. Homann played against Illinois-Chicago in the Colgate Classic before an injury sidelined her for the remainder of the season.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS:
Seton Hall went 1-1 last weekend, falling to Notre Dame 3-1 but rebounding to sweep DePaul in straight sets the next day. The Pirates are in sixth place in the league and will enter the weekend looking to secure one of three remaining BIG EAST Tournament spots. Stacey and Shelbey Manthorpe remain the leaders of the Pirates' offense, as the duo has combined for more than 500 kills. Libero Alyssa Warren is anchoring the defense averaging 5.86 digs per set, while Morgan DeVries is leading the team with 92 total blocks, including eight solo blocks.
