SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Riding a three match winning streak, the Syracuse University volleyball team (12-6, 2-1 BIG EAST) is set to host Villanova and Georgetown in BIG EAST Conference action this weekend at the Women's Building.

The Orange hasn't dropped a set during the winning streak. SU swept both St. John's and Connecticut on the road last weekend and defeated Colgate in three on Wednesday.

Noemie Lefebvre has recorded two-straight double-doubles as she had 10 kills and 10 digs at UConn, along with 17 spikes and 10 digs against the Raiders. Libero Ashley Williams set a new career-high for digs in a single-season as she added 20 digs against Colgate, bringing her total to 319 on the season, eight better than her total in 2010.

Head coach Jing Pu will look to pick up his 100th career BIG EAST victory against Villanova.

SCOUNTING THE OPPONENTS:

Villanova (12-5, 4-0 BIG EAST) has three offensive weapons in which the Wildcats rely on. Middle blocker Maggie Mergen and outside hitter Morgan Petkovich are tied for the team lead with 173 kills, while Krista Anderson has 169 spikes.

The Wildcats have arguably the best libero in the country in Kim Maroon. The senior is second nationally with a 6.56 digs per set average. Last week she became the first player in Villanova history to record 2,000 career digs.

Georgetown (9-8, 1-3 BIG EAST) has five players who have at least 130 kills while none of them have more than 180. The Orange has a 22-16 series advantage over the Hoyas and has a current eight match winning streak.

First serve against Villanova is set for Friday night at 7:00 p.m., while the match with Georgetown starts at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
