CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Senior Kuba Kotynia recorded an NCAA "B" qualifying mark on the final day of NIKE Cup competition Saturday at Koury Natatorium on the campus of the University of North Carolina.
Kotynia qualified for NCAA competition in the 200-yard breaststroke for the second consecutive season, touching the wall at 1:58.24 to score 17 points for the Orange. The time also marks a BIG EAST best this season.
Kotynia and the Syracuse swim team return to the pool on Dec. 2 at the U.S. National Championships in Columbus, Ohio.
