ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Orange defeated Delaware State in the second game of the Hilton Albuquerque Volleyball Classic, 3-0 (30-21, 30-19, 30-12), tonight in New Mexico. Redshirt freshman April Quigley dished out a career-high 31 assists in the win.
Sophomore Ellen Bruegge tallied a match-high 12 kills, which ties her career-best. Freshmen Emily Kaier and Brittany Kern chipped in with eight and six kills, respectively. Senior Katie Allen added eight kills.
SU held the Hornets to a -0.58 hitting percentage in the match.
The Orange (7-3) wraps up the tournament on Saturday afternoon when it plays host New Mexico at 2:30 p.m.
