SU Streaking Continues With Win Against Cleveland State

SYRACUSE, NY -- Syracuse opened play in the Big Orange Invitational by extending its unbeaten streak to five matches in a 3-0 blanking of Cleveland State. The Orange are slated to take on Manhattan in round-robin play on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. in Manley Field House.
SU defeated Cleveland State 30-22, 30-24 and 30-25 in Friday afternoon's encounter. Junior Kristen Conway had a squad-best 14 kills and 10 digs. Junior Kelly Duan added nine kills.
Junior Aila Dommestrup contributed 31 assists in the match. Freshman Jen Malcom had four service aces for the Orange.
Visiting Cleveland State was paced by Kelly Crain's 30 assists.
On Saturday, Syracuse is scheduled to go up against Siena at noon and New Hampshire at 7:00 p.m.
