SU Volleyball Sweeps Marist

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. – The Syracuse volleyball team swept Marist on Friday, Oct. 8 to end its three-match skid. Junior Aila Dommestrup recorded a double-double with 34 assists and 11 digs to help lead the Orange. Syracuse won the match with games of 30-27, 30-25 and 30-22.
Junior Kristen Conway led the way for SU with 17 kills on 44 attacks, while also recording seven digs. Freshman Joscie Kaup had a team-high 12 digs. Senior Morgan Jones recorded nine kills on 19 attempts for a .316 hitting percentage. Sophomore Erin McQuillin had four total blocks in the match with three block assists.
For Marist, Jaime Kenworthy and Amy Gillespie each had eight kills. Meghan Cochrane recorded 25 assists, and Kim McEathron made 16 digs.
SU travels to Seton Hall on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 2:00 p.m. for its second BIG EAST match of the season.
