
Volleyball Continues Slide With Four-Game Loss To UNH

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Sophomore Kathryn Dercher recorded her first double-double of the season with 17 assists and 12 digs, but the Orangewomen volleyball team (7-6) lost its fifth-straight match, 3-1, against New Hampshire at the UNH Tournament on Saturday. The Wildcats prevailed, 30-25, 30-27, 23-30, 30-19.
Junior Morgan Jones posted a team-high 13 kills on 32 attempts and a .281 hitting percentage. Sophomore Jessica Logan had 11 kills on 32 attempts, and classmate Aila Dommestrup recorded 21 assists. Sophomore Kristen Conway had 17 digs and senior Christen Casey posted 14 digs to lead SU's back-row defense, and sophomore Katie Allen led the front-row defense with seven block assists.
Alyson Coler led New Hampshire with a double-double on 19 kills and 15 digs. Coler also posted a match-high 53 attacks. Anne Davis also had a double-double with 26 assists and 14 digs. Erin Ludwig and Natasha Otte each recorded 12 kills. Erin Walker had 15 kills and seven digs, and Katie Weidner posted 21 assists. Jen Williams and Sasha Scott each dug 10 balls.
The Orangewomen play their final match of the tournament at 4:30 p.m. against Rhode Island.
