Senior Year (1969): Passed for 270 yards and two touchdowns and gained 97 yards rushing and scored two touchdowns … Ran five times for 33 yards at Kansas … Was 6-of-8 for 107 yards and scored a rushing touchdown against Wisconsin ... Caught the only pass of his career against Boston College for 43 yards.
Junior Year (1968): Passed for 310 yards with two touchdown passes and rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns … Ran eight times for 50 yards against Maryland … Threw for one touchdown and ran for another and gained 47 yards on eight carries against Pittsburgh … Recorded 24 punts for 923 yards and a 38.4 average.
Sophomore Year (1967): In his debut against Baylor, he rushed for 88 yards, the most ever by the player wearing number 44 in their debut, and punted twice for 79 yards … Was hurt on the next to last play of the Baylor game and rushed for only 30 yards the rest of the season.
