Hall of Fame mascot Otto the Orange has been nominated as Best College Mascot as part of USA TODAY Sports' Readers Choice Awards!
From now through August 17 at 11:59 a.m., fans can cast their votes for Otto here: Vote for Otto. You can cast one vote per day until ballots close.
There are 20 finalists for the award, which includes mascots from across the nation. Otto is one of four nominees from the ACC, with other nominees including Miami's Sebastian the Ibis, Osceola and Renegade at Florida State and Wake Forest's Demon Deacon.
Since the early 1980s, Otto has been a passionate supporter, enthusiastic ambassador and inclusive unifier that consistently galvanizes and strengthens the entire Orange community. Otto became the Orange's official mascot in 1995 and has spent over three decades bringing joy, smiles and laughter to the Orange faithful.
A member of the 2023 class of the Mascot Hall of Fame, Otto participates in over 800 events each year, both on Syracuse's campus and throughout the Central New York region.
