
2022 'Cuse Awards Will Honor the Orange

Syracuse Athletics' annual celebration of the academic and athletic accomplishments of its student-athletes takes place Thursday, May 5th with the 16th annual 'Cuse Awards! The awards show will be in the Goldstein Auditorium at the Schine Student Center and will be streamed live and free of charge on Cuse.tv 6:30 p.m. The awards include men's and women's Team of the Year, men's and women's Coach of the Year, male and female Athlete of the Year, and the Soladay Awards.

Quiring Comans (field hockey, game-winning goal vs. #12 Connecticut), Emily Hawryschuk (lacrosse, tallied 11 points at Cornell), Teisha Hyman (basketball, triple double vs. Central Connecticut), Angel Jasso (hit for the cycle against Southern), Marina Markova (volleyball, 16 kills on 24 attacks (.667 hitting percentage) vs. Ball State), Abby Moloughney (ice hockey, hat trick vs. RIT in CHA tournament semifinal), Lysianne Proulx (soccer, 15 saves vs. #4 Duke), rowing team (15th-ranked Syracuse won the Lake Wheeler Invitational, beating 15 other teams including #9 Penn and #11 Duke), Abigail Spiers (track & field, scored in both the DMR and the 5,000-meter run in three days at the ACC Championships), Amanda Vestri (cross country, won the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship).

Tucker Dordevic (lacrosse, scored five goals, two assists and contributed (goal or assist) on every single second half goal against Duke), Joe Dragon (cross country, Syracuse's top finisher at ACC Championship, leading Syracuse to second place finish), Jaheem Hayles (track & field, posted one of the top times nationally in the hurdles at multiple meets, including the Penn Relays), Cole Swider (basketball, 36 points at North Carolina), rowing team (#6 Syracuse won the 65th racing of the Goes Trophy over #11 Navy and #14 Cornell), Sean Tucker (football, ran for 207 yards on 26 carries, the ninth-most yards in a game in program history, against Boston College).
