
Mundundu, Lutz Named Syracuse University Scholar-Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Carleigh Lutz (dance) and Anicet Mundundu (men's rowing) are the Syracuse University Scholar-Athletes of the Week for the week of May 18.
Lutz is an environmental engineering major in the College of Engineering and Computer Science who is also pursuing a minor in mathematics. She joined the dance team her freshman year; is a member of the New York Beta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, a multi-discipline engineering honors society that's membership is based on character and academic standing in the junior engineering class; and is a member of the Alpha Phi International Women's Fraternity.
The Barnegat, N.J., native is an Engineering and Computer Science (ECS) Leadership Scholar, is in the Renée Crown University Honors Program, has earned a spot on the Dean's List every semester at Syracuse, and currently works at Thompson Healthcare as a chiropractic assistant. Lutz and the dance team won the Universal Dance Association Collegiate National Championship on Feb. 16.
Mundundu is a psychology major and philosophy minor in the College of Arts and Sciences who's been on the Dean's List multiple times and has earned a spot on the athletic director's honor roll every semester he's been on campus.
The Pittsburgh native most recently rowed in the 4V during the entire 2018-19 season, his boat placing 10th at the Eastern Sprints. Mundundu was also an alternate for the IRA National Championships.
