
Keller, Pennello Named Scholar-Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Matt Keller of the football team and Chelsie Pennello of the women's cross country team are this week's Syracuse Scholar-Athletes of the Week.
Keller is a junior, pursuing a degree in accounting. He currently serves as the treasurer for the Syracuse University chapter of Uplifting Athletes. He is a two-time ACC Honor Roll member and has qualified for the SU Athletic Director's Honor Roll in all five of his completed semesters.
A native of Willow Street, Pa., Keller has appeared in 25 straight games as Syracuse's long snapper. He has worked with current Denver Broncos punter Riley Dixon and 2016 Freshman All-American Sterling Hofrichter.
Pennello is a senior, pursuing a double major in TV, Radio and Film at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and Sociology. She is a three-time ACC Honor Roll member and has qualified for the SU Athletic Director's Honor Roll in all six of her completed semesters.
The Poolesville, Md. native placed 12th at the Harry Lang Invitational last weekend and has four top-20 finishes over the duration of her Syracuse career.
Keller and the Syracuse football team are home against Middle Tennessee State Saturday, Sept. 9. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. inside the Carrier Dome. Single-game tickets are available online, by phone (888-DOMETIX) and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B).
