NIAGARA, N.Y. – The Orange volleyball team (9-6, 0-1 BIG EAST) lost in five sets to Niagara University (19-25, 25-19, 27-25, 24-26, 14-16) on Sunday afternoon inside Gallagher Arena.
Nicolette Serratore paced the Orange with 14 kills, while Andrea Fisher and Erin Little each had 12. It was a season-high in kills for Little who saw extensive action for the first time this season. Sam Hinz contributed 10 kills.
Noemie Lefebvre stepped in at the libero position and recorded a team-high 25 digs. Setter Laura Homann topped her previous season-high of 51 assists set last match against USF with 55 today against the Purple Eagles.
Niagara (9-7) received a game-high 18 spikes from Kari Honomichl, while Kathy Bibler chipped in with 16.
SU looks to rebound next weekend as the Orange plays two conference road matches at St. John's on Saturday and at Connecticut on Sunday.
